Brain-Frame makes Spot, a personal AI appliance that runs frontier-class AI models locally, on hardware you own. We are a small team building serious hardware; this page is who we are and why we are doing it.
Why Spot exists
People and businesses depend on AI they can never own: unbounded costs, no control and no data privacy. Offices that handle confidential records, such as CPAs, law firms and clinics, cannot put client data in the cloud, so they are locked out of the most useful software of the decade.
Spot is a plug-and-play AI appliance with fixed costs, complete control and data sovereignty. One Spot powers a whole team or household and integrates with the apps it already uses.
Brain-Frame's mission is to create superior AI appliances, services and products that prioritize safety, performance and privacy.
What we build
Spot OS
The operating system on the box: chat, voice, vision, long-term memory, a private file workspace, and agents that keep working while you are away. Updated over signed over-the-air releases.
The apps and the Warehouse
Desktop apps for macOS, Windows and Linux, mobile apps for iPhone and Android, an Apple Watch app and the web, all built in-house and published in the Software Warehouse.
